Board the Mississippi River Institute Education Barge with us!
Living Lands & Waters (LLW) is a nonprofit organization that works to clean the Mississippi River. Their Mississippi River Institute Education Barge is in the Wolf River Harbor while LLW volunteers work to remove loads of trash from McKellar Lake. The City of Memphis Storm Water Department invites you to board this barge and participate in a special Earth Day public meeting lecture!
Only 40 people may board the Mississippi River Institute Education Barge! Participants must not wear open-toe shoes and must sign a waiver to ride the ferry and board the barge. You can view the waiver in advance here. To RSVP and confirm your spot as one of the 40 and your free lunch, click HERE!
Arrive early to allow time to park and walk! Google search ‘Premium Parking P2711 Memphis, TN’ and park (as shown on our map on the flyer here). Please alert the attendant that you are our guest to cover your parking expense. Walk 5-7 minutes (south of the monorail) to the boat ramp to sign the waiver and board the Mississippi River Institute Education Barge!
